3^rd Mountain Dutch Oven Chili Cook Off 2015

Date:  Saturday February 21^st
Location:  River’s Edge Park at the Shelter
Time:  Cooking starts @ 9:00 a.m. & judging starts @ 1:00 p.m.
Rules:
1.  No canned beans
2.  You can soak your beans the night before
3.  Any prep work can be done ahead of time
4.  You must cook in a Dutch Oven with coals
5.  You must provide your own coals and ingredients
6.  No cooking on the ground
You will need to bring:                             $10.00 ENTRY FEE = 1^st, 2^nd & 3^rd place winners

1.      

If you are not cooking Please bring a side dish, salad, bread or dessert

A metal cooking surface; old metal lid, tin pan like you cook a turkey in would work.

2.       You will need leather gloves or pot holders ~ Nonalcoholic beverage of your choice

3.       Lid lifters if you have one or pliers would work

4.        You will need a lawn chair and dress warm it may be chili…J

5.       You will need any utensils for cooking & coal starting chimney if you have one

6.       A ladle or big spoon for serving

We will provide: 
* tasting containers*soup bowls * spoons *coffee and water * a container to put used coals and ashes in
