10" Dutch Oven
Brown Beef of your choice, then cook for 3 hours in 16 oz. of beef stock with 10 coals
on top and 10 coals underneath. When finished Set aside for 15 minutes then shred.
While meat is cooking make your noodles.
D.O. Homemade Noodles:
In a mixing bowl put 2 cups flour & 1/2 teaspoon salt, mix.
add 1 tablespoon cold water
3 eggs lightly beaten and mix until well blended
Gather it into a ball and knead until smooth about 10 minutes
Divide the dough into thirds on lightly floured board
Then roll each section into a thin layer
Dust lightly with flour to prevent sticking
Roll dough into jelly roll style, using a sharp knife
cut thin slices, then unroll noodles and let dry on a paper towel before cooking
Cook: Bring water to a boil ,add 1 tablespoon canola oil to the water
drop noodles into salted water and cook 7 -10 minutes until tender
Sauce:
Using the pan you browned the meat in, deglaze it with some water and then
add 1 can of Cream of Mushroom Soup, 1/2 pint of heavy cream and 3/4 cup of sour cream
stir until smooth and mix with shredded Beef. When noodles are done stir them into the pot.
Serve while hot
