An old Dutch Oven we got from our Uncle Gery |
Getting ready to re-do this ole Dutch Oven |
The Burning out process in our smoker... you could use a BBQ too |
Bake pot in the smoker @ 400 - 500 degrees for 2 hours, then cool for 1 hour |
Then oil it and heat back up for 1 hour |
Now take a wire brush to the entire pot and lid inside and out. |
After that the wash it in hot water and scrub it down with a nylon scrub brush, let it dry in the smoker @ 200 degrees for 30 minutes. |
Now put a thin coat of oil inside and out and put it back in the smoker @ 300 degrees for 1 hour, let it cool for 1 hour and put another thin coat of oil heat again @ 300 degrees for 1 hour. |
Here is the finished Dutch Oven |
